Description:
This agreement provides assistance to the state of California in developing, implementing and maintaining an effective leaking underground storage tank (UST) program and to support activities in making progress in cleaning up petroleum leaks by initiating and completing cleanups, and reducing the backlog of sites not yet cleaned up.
This assistance agreement provides partial federal funding in the amount of $615,000 and includes $14,580,000 in EPA in-kind support through an interagency agreement (IA) with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for contractual support. See terms and conditions.
Activities:
Activities to be performed under this grant include developing, implementing and maintaining an effective leaking UST cleanup program, including initiating and completing cleanups and reducing the backlog of sites not yet cleaned up.
Subrecipient:
No subawards are included in this assistance agreement.
Outcomes:
Anticipated deliverables include semi-annual reports and semi-annual LUST4 data submittal to include location data for all LUST cleanups completed within the reporting period. The grantee is expected to use grant funds to manage their leaking UST cleanup program including initiating and completing cleanups and identifying and implementing strategies to increase cleanups and decrease backlog.
