Grant Description
This agreement provides funding under the Additional Supplemental Appropriations for Disaster Relief Act, 2019, (Public Law 116-20) to the Commonwealth of Northern Mariana Islands, Office of Planning and Development to plan for, and build capacity in managing post-storm solid waste issues due to Typhoon Yutu. The goal of this project is to build solid waste management capacity to address post-storm solid waste issues and develop long-term sustainable solid and zero waste programs that addresses historic shortcomings and increase preparedness for managing waste from future storms. This assistance agreement provides full federal funds $565,980.
