Description:
This agreement provides funding for the operation of the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality's (LDEQ) continuing environmental programs while giving it greater flexibility to address its highest environmental priorities, improve environmental performance, achieve administrative savings, and strengthen the partnership between LDEQ and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). This agreement funds state continuing environmental programs for air, water, and hazardous waste management.
Activities:
The activities to be performed include:
- Permitting and enforcement
- Air planning, modeling, and monitoring inspections
- Controlling the generation, transportation, treatment, storage, and disposal of hazardous waste
- Improving water quality through monitoring and taking actions to restore impaired waterbodies.
Subrecipient:
No subawards are included in this assistance agreement.
Outcomes:
Anticipated deliverables and outcomes include improved air, water, and land quality. Direct beneficiaries of this assistance agreement are the residents and occupants of the state of Louisiana.
