Grant Description
Description: This agreement provides funding for the operation of the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy's (MI DEGLE) continuing environmental programs while giving it greater flexibility to address its highest environmental priorities, improve environmental performance, achieve savings and strengthen the partnership between (MI DEGE) and EPA.
This agreement funds state continuing environmental programs for water.
Activities: The activities to be performed include management and administration of the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) and storm water permits program, surface water restoration and protection programs.
Specific activities will include permit issuance, compliance, enforcement, monitoring and assessment, management of water quality and program data, Section 401/Rule 97 certification, development of the integrated reports, restoration and protection of water impaired or threatened by NPS pollution.
Subrecipient: No subawards are included in this assistance agreement.
Outcomes: The anticipated deliverables include permit issuance, compliance, enforcement, monitoring and assessment, management of water quality and program data, Section 401/Rule 97 certification, integrated report developed, implementation of NPS program plan, as identified in the workplan.
The expected outcomes from this agreement are cleaner, safer water.
Direct beneficiaries of this program are the citizens of the State of Michigan and general public that will benefit from the grant.
