Grant Description
Description: This agreement provides funding to City of Ripon for the South San Jose Joaquin Irrigation District (SSJID) surface water connection project as directed in the 2023 Consolidated Appropriations Act.

This assistance agreement provides full federal funding in the amount of $3,452,972.

Preaward costs are approved back to 2/1/2026.

Activities: The activities to be performed include the installation of a new water main to connect the City to the South San Joaquin Irrigation District's (SSJID's) treated surface water system to improve the City's drinking water infrastructure.

Workplan activities consist of (1) pre-construction activities, funded entirely by the City, and (2) construction and project management, funded through the EPA Community Grant and the City's cost share.

Subrecipient: No subawards are included in this assistance agreement.

Outcomes: The anticipated deliverables include
--100% design plans and specifications
--Request for Proposals (RFP)
--Contractor contract
--Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP)
--As-builts
--A post-construction on-site project review by EPA (or delegate)
--Quarterly progress reports
--A draft and final project report

The expected outcomes include (1) increased water available for consumption due to access to new water source; additional target annual volume of water available for consumption 1305 MG/year.

(2) Reduced energy consumption--target quantity of energy saved is 660 MWH/MG.

The intended beneficiaries include residents and businesses in the City of Ripon.
