Grant Description
Description: The purpose of this grant is to provide federal funding to the City of Ely to implement its project to construct the Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrade Project as directed in the 2024 Consolidated Appropriations Act.
This agreement provides full federal funding in the amount $4,815,000.00.
Activities: The activities to be performed include the design, execution and implementation of a wastewater infrastructure construction project.
Workplan activities consist of a complete engineering design, contractor procurement, followed by construction of wastewater treatment plant improvements and upgrades.
Subrecipient: No subawards are included in this assistance agreement.
Outcomes: The anticipated deliverables include a completed 100% engineering design for planned wastewater treatment plant upgrades.
After procurement, the construction contractor will replace the septic dump, bar screen, grit removal, influent pumps, fine screens, and system sewer lift station in Industrial Park.
The expected outcomes include a fully functional upgraded wastewater treatment plant.
The intended beneficiaries include residents of the City of Ely.
