Grant Description
Description: This agreement provides funding to the City of Sacramento to implement its Shasta Groundwater Wells Project as directed in the 2023 Consolidated Appropriations Act.
This assistance agreement provides full federal funding in the amount of $3,452,972.
Pre-award costs are approved back to May 27, 2025.

Activities: The activities to be performed include construction of the Shasta Groundwater Wells Project to provide drinking water infrastructure improvements in the City of Sacramento, CA.
Workplan activities consist of: Task 1 - Planning and Design, Task 2 - Construction and Activation, Task 3 - Project Management and Controls.
Subrecipient: No subawards are included in this assistance agreement.
Outcomes: The anticipated deliverables include: 100% design plans and specifications; a post-construction on-site project review by EPA (or delegate); quarterly progress reports; and a draft and final project report.
The expected outcomes include increased groundwater treatment capacity from 3,000-GPM to 5,000-GPM; additional annual volume of groundwater available for consumption, reduced City staff time spent manually operating and maintaining facility; and monthly labor hours reduced 300 hrs/month.
The intended beneficiaries include residents of the City of Sacramento.
