This agreement provides funding for the operation of the Yurok Tribe while giving it greater flexibility to address its highest environmental priorities, improve environmental performance, achieve administrative savings, and strengthen the partnership between EPA and the tribe. This agreement funds tribal programs for monitoring water quality, training staff, involving members in environmental protection programs, restoring watersheds, developing water quality standards, administering waste management programs, inventorying and cleaning up brownfields and other polluted sites, developing enforcement authorities, public participation, and cleanup approval mechanisms to facilitate response actions that protect human health and the environment, supporting redevelopment of brownfields sites, and monitoring air quality. This award provides full federal funding in the amount of $927,042.
