Description:
This agreement funds the recipient's program to continue the implementation of the Record of Decision and remedial action within the Omaha Lead Site, which is listed on the National Priorities List (NPL) of the National Oil and Hazardous Substances Contingency Plan.
Activities:
The activities to be performed include the following site-specific actions. Sampling and stabilization of soil and exterior lead-based paint at residential properties, remediation of contaminated soil, management of institutional controls including data management and maintenance of the Omaha Lead Registry, and community education.
Subrecipient:
No subawards are included in this assistance agreement.
Outcomes:
Anticipated outcomes include reduced risk of lead exposure through the remediation of lead-contaminated residences and increased public awareness and health education for lead poisoning. The remediation of residential yards for lead-based paint and soil contamination, as well as outreach events and the continued management and maintenance of the Omaha Lead Registry as one of the institutional controls, are expected deliverables as specified in the work plan. Intended beneficiaries include residents and community members within the Omaha Lead Site that is listed on the National Priority List.
