Description:
This agreement provides funding for the operation of the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (WDNR) continuing environmental programs while giving it greater flexibility to address its highest environmental priorities, improve environmental performance, achieve administrative savings, and strengthen the partnership between Wisconsin and EPA. WDNR will operate many environmental programs under this Performance Partnership Grant (PPG). This agreement funds state continuing environmental programs for Clean Air Act Section 105 for air pollution control, Clean Water Act Section 106 for water pollution control, Clean Water Act Section 319 for nonpoint source technical assistance, hazardous waste management/RCRA, and toxic substance compliance monitoring.
Activities:
Activities to be performed include, but are not limited to, issuing permits; conducting inspections; evaluating compliance; providing technical assistance; reporting data; monitoring air and water quality; and taking enforcement actions.
Subrecipient:
No subawards are included in this assistance agreement.
Outcomes:
The anticipated deliverables to be performed include, but are not limited to, issuing permits; conducting inspections; evaluating compliance; providing technical assistance; reporting data; monitoring air and water quality; and taking enforcement actions. The expected outcomes from this agreement are timely and appropriate enforcement actions; facilities having adequate permits and controls in place; collecting and reporting quality data, all to support the goal of a cleaner, healthier environment. Direct beneficiaries of this program are the citizens of Wisconsin and those who visit will benefit from the grant.
