Grant Description
This grant will support member states' air pollution control programs to understand and address air pollution problems in the Great Lakes region. Activities include conducting data analyses to further enhance knowledge of regional air pollution problems, including updating conceptual models for O3, PM2.5, and regional haze, and performing back trajectory and trends analyses.
The grant will also provide technical support on air quality issues, such as analyzing monitoring and modeling data and quantifying the co-benefits of reducing emissions that impact air quality and climate. Additionally, it will involve conducting regional coordination and outreach, sponsoring training courses, and organizing workshops to improve the technical knowledge and skills of member states.
