This action awards federal funds of $677,997.
Federal funds in the amount of $3,331,175 are contingent upon availability.
This assistance agreement supports environmental enforcement and compliance assistance for point-source Best Management Practices (BMPs) and technical support for non-point-source BMPs, the pending Total Maximum Daily Load goals, and development of West Virginia's Watershed Implementation Plan. The intended outcomes are to address water quality restoration goals and maintain public awareness of Chesapeake Bay restoration and EPA's 2018-2022 Strategic Plan to meet Goal 1: A Clean, Healthier Environment; Objective 1.2: Provide for Clean and Safe Water.
Beneficiaries of this project include residents of the Chesapeake Bay watershed, human health, and the environment. The recipient intends to sub-award funds to support the implementation for forestry BMPs, provide training for wastewater treatment plant operators, and continue staffing for the coordination of.
