Grant Description
This is a five year multi-year cooperative agreement which will aid the recipient in providing water quality monitoring information used to define the nutrient and sediment conditions necessary to protect living resources and vital estuarine habitats and develop and assess water quality criteria with the goal of removing the bay and its tidal rivers from the list of impaired waters.
Water quality information also supports refinement, calibration and validation of the Chesapeake Bay water quality model.
This action awards federal funds in the amount of $1,736,966. Federal funds in the amount of $7,793,004 are contingent upon availability.
