Grant Description
Description: This agreement provides funding to Township of Parsippany-Troy Hills to implement its project to replace the Lake Hiawatha pump station, replace the New Road pump station, and demolish pump station No. 4 as directed in the 2023 Consolidated Appropriations Act or as identified in an approved technical correction if one has been approved for this project.

Activities: For the Lake Hiawatha pump station project, the activities to be performed includes the replacement of the existing sanitary pump station with a new packaged pump station, influent grinder chamber, sanitary manhole, installation of two sanitary doghouse manholes, and the selective demolition of the existing PS and appurtenances.

The New Road pump station replacement project includes the replacement of the existing sanitary pump station with a new packaged pump station, influent grinder chamber, a new sanitary manhole, and a new or cured in place pipe (CIPP) lined effluent force main.

Also included in this project is the selective demolition of the existing PS and appurtenances, as well as some site modifications.

The pump station No. 4 gravity conversion project has already been constructed and the improvements are in operation with the exception of the demolition of the pump station superstructure that will be removed as part of the New Road pump station project.

Subrecipient: No subawards are included in this assistance agreement.

Outcomes: The Lake Hiawatha pump station replacement project includes the installation of a new pump station which is expected to reduce energy consumption, and increase operational efficiency due to the aging equipment for the Township of Parsippany-Troy Hills.

The New Road pump station replacement project includes the installation of a new pump station which is expected to reduce energy consumption, improve safety, and increase operational efficiency due to the aging equipment for the Township of Parsippany-Troy Hills.

The pump station No. 4 superstructure will be demolished as part of the New Road pump station project as the pump station is no longer utilized.
