Grant Description
Description: This agreement provides funding to the Suffolk County Water Authority to implement its project to connect homes that rely on private wells for drinking water to the public water supply as directed in the 2023 Consolidated Appropriations Act or as identified in an approved technical correction if one has been approved for this project.
Activities: The activities to be performed are to install a new water main extension in Calverton of approximately 22,800 feet along Mill Road and Nugent Drive (County Road 24) to Pinehurst Boulevard and South River Road and associated side streets in Calverton, Town of Brookhaven for the purposes of connecting 92 properties in this area threatened by potential contamination.
Subrecipient: No subawards are included in this assistance agreement.
Outcomes: The anticipated deliverable is a new water main, which is expected to lead to clean, uncontaminated drinking water for the residents of Calverton, NY.
