Overview

Grant Description
This cooperative agreement will allow the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) to perform pre-CERCLA screenings (PCSS), preliminary assessments (PAS), site inspections (SIS), expanded site inspections (ESIS), and site reassessments (SRS).

Sites considered for these activities will be selected from the NJDEP's Immediate Environmental Concern (IEC) inventory. The NJDEP will pre-screen suspected sources of contamination using field analytical methods, and will enter sites warranting further investigation into the Superfund Enterprise Management System (SEMS).
