Description:
This action approves funding in the amount of $1,096,930 to Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FLDEP) for their continuing environmental programs while giving it greater flexibility to address its highest environmental priorities, improve environmental performance, achieve administrative savings, and strengthen the partnership between FLDEP and the Environmental Protection Agency. This agreement funds state continuing environmental programs to support air, water, and land.

Activities:
The activities to be performed include but are not limited to issuing permits, conducting inspections, evaluating compliance, enforcement actions, monitoring and data reporting, and providing training and technical assistance for air 105, public water supply systems, underground injection control, water 106, RCRA, and multi-purpose.

Subrecipient:
No subawards are included in this assistance agreement.

Outcomes:
Expected output/outcomes include timely and appropriate enforcement actions, facilities having adequate permits and controls in place, collecting and reporting quality data, all to support the goal of a cleaner, healthier environment. These efforts will reduce risk, improve environmental protection, and restore and support recreational and public health issues that contribute to healthy economies. Direct beneficiaries of this program are the citizens of the state of Florida.
