Grant Description
Description: The agreement provides funding to District of Columbia Department of Energy and Environment to assist the District in reducing diesel emissions and benefit the health and well-being of District residents.
Activities: The activities funded by the grant include replacing selected Class 5+ on-highway vehicles and TRUs with zero-emission solutions.
The vehicle and equipment replacements eliminate tailpipe emissions and reduce diesel pollution in the District.
DC DOEE has selected zero-emissions solutions as they most effectively further the air quality and climate goals.
Subrecipient: No subawards are included in this assistance agreement.
Outcomes: The expected deliverables and outcomes include six vehicle replacements, five equipment replacements, an estimated reduction of 31,080 gallons of diesel fuel annually, and an estimated reduction of 2,361 hours of idling annually.
The intended beneficiaries include the students and residents of the District of Columbia.
