Description:
This agreement provides funding to the Town of Davis, West Virginia, to implement its project to Town of Davis Sewer Collection System Improvements as directed in the 2023 Consolidated Appropriations Act or as identified in an approved technical correction if one has been approved for this project.
Activities:
The proposed project involves engineering and construction. Plans are to use the existing sewer infrastructure as the storm sewer and install a new sanitary sewer. Rehabilitation of various manholes in newer parts of the sanitary system will occur. The sanitary sewer lines from houses will be removed from the existing infrastructure, and new laterals will be installed and connected to the new sanitary sewer system. The pump stations will also be upgraded with flow meters to track inflow and infiltration, bypass connections for emergencies, and other minor upgrades as more fully described in the facility plan.
Subrecipient:
A subaward will be given to the WV Regional Council which will provide general grant administration and coordination on behalf of the recipient.
Outcomes:
The anticipated deliverables are an increased efficiency of the collection system and wastewater treatment system, which are expected to lead to reduced NPDES violations and prevent receiving stream pollution for Town of Davis and its residents. Beneficiaries of this project are the Town of Davis and its residents.
