Description:
This agreement provides funding to Clarksburg Water Board to implement its project to ensure safe drinking water and reliable infrastructure as directed in the 2022 Consolidated Appropriations Act or as identified in an approved technical correction if one has been approved for this project.
Activities:
The activities to be performed are implementing a Phase 3A water system improvements project consisting of service line replacements within the communities of Northview, Rosebud, and Stealey, as well as the 24' transmission line off of Van Buren Street. Additionally, the project also includes the emergency repair and remediation of a water main break on W Pike Street in downtown Clarksburg.
Subrecipient:
No subawards are included in this assistance agreement.
Outcomes:
The anticipated deliverables include replacement of 1,625 lead service lines within the Clarksburg Water Board's water system and of a number of aging and unreliable non-lead service lines and main water lines, which are expected to lead to a more safe, reliable, and resilient drinking water system for the City of Clarksburg and the surrounding communities throughout Harrison County. The project will ensure the delivery of high-quality potable drinking water to the community for generations. Intended beneficiaries include the residents of Clarksburg.
