Description:
This grant agreement provides funding to the City of Wilmington to implement its project the Sewer Interceptor Rehabilitation Project. The goal of the project is to rehabilitate the Price's Run Sewer Interceptor and associated Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO) facilities as directed in the 2023 Consolidated Appropriations Act or as identified in an approved technical correction if one has been approved for this project.
Activities:
The activities to be performed will include repairs to fill the invert voids and correct structural issues, where identified. Roughly 4,000 LF of the largest diameter pipe with the most significant deterioration will be the primary focus of the repairs, other areas of the pipe alignment will have spot repairs performed as needed. Also the CSO is to be rehabilitated.
Subrecipient:
No subawards are included in this assistance agreement.
Outcomes:
The anticipated deliverables are the rehabilitation of the Price's Run Sewer Interceptor and CSO which are expected to reduce the chance of pipe collapse within the street and minimize sanitary sewer overflows and flooding within the local neighborhood. The beneficiaries are the local residents and property owners of the city.
