Description:
This agreement provides funding to the City of Norfolk, Virginia, to implement the River Oaks Pump Station Replacement Project and the West Ocean View Pump Station Project as directed in the 2022 Consolidated Appropriations Act. This agreement also provides funding for the Ballentine Place Water and Sewer Replacement Project as directed in the 2023 Consolidated Appropriations Act.
Activities:
The activities to be performed are:
(1) At the River Oaks Project, the city will replace approximately 2,600 linear feet of gravity sewer and water distribution mains.
(2) At the West Ocean View Project, the city will replace approximately 2,800 linear feet of gravity sewer and 3,500 linear feet of water distribution mains.
(3) At the Ballentine Place Project, the city will replace approximately 2,600 linear feet of gravity sewer and water distribution mains.
All three projects will also include installation of associated manholes, cleanouts, fittings, valves, hydrants, and pavement.
Subrecipient:
No subawards are included in this assistance agreement.
Outcomes:
The anticipated deliverables for all three projects are installation of sewer and water distribution mains, which are expected to lead to higher quality drinking water, reliable fire protection, and proper sewage disposal for the residents of the City of Norfolk, Virginia.
Federal funds of $1,600,000 are contingent upon availability.
