Description:
This agreement provides funding to Hodgesville Public Service District, WV to implement its project to rehabilitate the water distribution system as directed in the 2022 Consolidated Appropriations Act.
Activities:
The activities to be performed include replacing approximately 1,200 water meters, installation of two new 100,000-gallon water storage tanks complete with foundations and valving, installation of one new 150 GPM booster pump station (BPS) with associated telemetry equipment, replacement/installation of approximately 14,100 linear feet of service tubing and approximately 21,500 linear feet of various size main water line, including an extension to serve five new customers, upgrading the Hall Road booster pump station BPS, replacing the PRV in the Gum Mountain area, upgrading the site at the existing Shumaker water storage tank, and other necessary valves and appurtenances required to be upgraded in the distribution system.

Outcomes:
The anticipated deliverables include rehabilitating the Hodgesville PSD system, water meters, water storage tanks, and a booster pump station, which are expected to lead to a reduction in its water loss expenses, increased reliability, and security in the system. Overall general system improvements will allow operators to effectively identify and repair issues and benefit citizens of Hodgesville, WV by lowering operation and maintenance costs.
