AURORASAURUS IS AN SMD FLAGSHIP PROJECT IN CITIZEN SCIENCE DEMONSTRATING THE BEST OF WHAT CITIZEN SCIENCE CAN DO AND PROVIDING A GREAT WAY TO FULFILL HELIOPHYSICS OBJECTIVES OF THE NEW SPD-33. AURORASAURUS WAS INITIALLY FUNDED BY NSF (2013-2017) BUT REQUIRES FURTHER CRITICAL AUGMENTATION AS PART OF THE NSSEC (AS WAS PART OF THE INITIAL CAN PROPOSAL) TO SERVE AS THIS EXEMPLAR WITHIN THE NSSECAND SMD. CURRENT FUNDING IS 0.5 FTE FROM NSSEC. IN ORDER TO MAINTAIN ITS STRONG PERFORMANCE AND ADVANCE SMD LEADERSHIP IN CITIZEN SCIENCE WE ARE REQUESTING AN AUGMENTATION IN FUNDING.
