Cooperative Agreement

Overview

Grant Description
The cooperative agreement aims to mitigate orphans' and vulnerable children's (OVC) human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) risk while ensuring that children are healthy, safe, schooled, and nourished, and their households are economically stable and resilient.

The activity will specifically address key gaps that include case-finding of HIV-positive OVC and strengthening linkages with clinical HIV services, adherence to treatment, and viral load coverage, as well as malnutrition. Additionally, the activity will focus on improving OVC's safety by preventing and responding to gender-based violence (GBV) with a focus on girls and boys ages 9-14 years old, who are more vulnerable and at higher risk for GBV.
