Overview
Grant Description
The proposed USAID Tamkeen activity builds on DA-AM and other recent youth-centered activities in Mauritania to build social cohesion through positive approaches for civic engagement and alternatives to violent extremism (VE).
The USAID Empowering Mauritanian Youth in Education, Leadership, and Self Improvement (EMELI) activity (2016-2018) bolstered vocational education and training with soft skills to better prepare youth for the employment market while addressing social grievances through cultural expression.
