Grant Description
The Farmer Support Activity is to mitigate the impact of food security shocks in Northern Ghana by facilitating cash transfers to approximately 17,000 households engaged in agriculture in Northern Ghana. Cash transfers will allow these households to continue agriculture activities given the current macroeconomic challenges.
Without support, vulnerable farmers may resort to negative coping mechanisms and loss of productive assets. This, in turn, will decrease food production in Ghana, threatening the food security of the broader population.
