Grant Description
This innovation lab will focus on five cereal crops (wheat, rice, maize, sorghum and millets) to discover genes/markers controlling adaptation to climate resilience, validate and deploy them in elite breeding materials. The aim is to provide a pipeline of climate adapted traits to breeding networks in Feed the Future countries that leads to the development of improved varieties, increased productivity and food security.
