Overview

Grant Description
Realizing equitable access, retention, and completion in higher education (REACH) will play a critical role in improving access to market-relevant higher education (HE) and training in the three target countries of Guatemala, Honduras, and Paraguay.

By strengthening HEI capacity to provide scholarships and wrap-around services to marginalized populations who are attending or planning to pursue postsecondary education, REACH aims to increase youth employability in prioritized, growing, and formal economic sectors.

REALIZING EQUITABLE ACCESS, RETENTION, AND COMPLETION IN HIGHER EDUCATION (REACH) COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT - THE BUREAU OF LATIN AMERICA AND THE CARIBBEAN (LAC), OFFICE OF REGIONAL SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT (RSD) SEEKS TO ADVANCE USAID’S OBJECTIVE OF IMPROVING ACCESS TO QUALITY EDUCATION AND TRAINING BY PROVIDING SCHOLARSHIPS AND OTHER WRAP-AROUND SERVICES TO YOUTH FROM MARGINALIZED POPULATIONS WHO ARE ATTENDING OR PLANNING TO PURSUE POSTSECONDARY EDUCATION, AND INCREASE YOUTH EMPLOYABILITY IN PRIORITIZED, GROWING, AND FORMAL ECONOMIC SECTORS.
