Overview

Grant Description
This Global Development Alliance activity will work to strengthen the financial market's ability to lend to the "missing middle" in agribusiness (i.e., agribusinesses that are too large for microfinance and too small to attain conventional finance). The anticipated results are $40M in loans for high-potential agribusiness small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in East Africa.

50 technical assistance engagements will be conducted, along with the development of innovation infrastructure. Additionally, critical data and learning outcomes will be generated to foster host government uptake.
