The purpose of the project is to eliminate two existing at-grade crossings along 17th Avenue (US DOT crossing ID 352291N) and 20th Avenue (US DOT crossing ID 352292V).
Activities to be performed include full cycle activities: environmental review, preliminary engineering, final design, and construction.
Deliverables will include a comprehensive project management plan that outlines implementation strategies, final NEPA documentation, PE design set, and final design package.
The intended beneficiaries are the following: the City of Calera, CSX, railroad employees, and railroad customers.
