This project funds the replacement of MDOT's Manistee River Bridge.
The Manistee River Bridge lies on a rail line operated by the Great Lakes Central Railroad (GLC).
GLC operates over 340 route-miles of single-track railroad on right-of-way owned by the State of Michigan.
There are five branch districts providing short haul access to the mainline corridor of the rail line.
The project addresses the structurally deficient Manistee River Bridge on the Northern District.
The 134-year-old bridge is structurally deficient resulting in speed and load capacity restrictions.
