Project Grant
Overview
Grant Description
The project includes the final design and construction to replace the existing copper circuit communication network with a fiber network and install closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras and other station amenities at 5 stations along the New Haven Line (NHL) main line and the Cos Cob moveable bridge.
The project will provide security upgrades at multiple rail stations on the NHL Northeast Corridor (NEC) and establish network connectivity into the fiber-optic network at 60 locations including routing of fiber drops to node houses, control points, power stations, and motor operated disconnects between Greenwich and Stamford.
This project will increase safety and speeds, reduce intercity rail travel times, and improve service for all who travel on Connecticut's NEC.
