Overview
Grant Description
The project will address several transportation challenges by improving existing historic assets in an under-invested, federally designated opportunity zone.
The project will support early site activation, bringing activity to the station site and surrounding neighborhoods several years before the station is served by passenger rail.
The improvements will renovate the historic Southern Pacific Railroad Depot (Historic Depot), develop and activate a plaza, and construct the Chinatown Mobility Hub.
Deliverables for the project include:
- Task 1: Detailed project work plan, budget, and schedule
- Task 2: Right of way acquisition
- Task 3: Construction
- Task 4: Project management and administration
The California High Speed Rail Authority is the grantee and there is no proposed sub-recipient.
