Grant Description
The project will modify 40 horizontal curves between Ypsilanti, MI and Jackson, MI, improve safety to public and private at grade crossings to achieve higher speeds and reduce one-way trip times. Also, the project will install approximately 80,000 linear feet of new continuous welded rail (CWR), which will further assist in increasing rail speeds.
