Overview

Grant Description
Installation of approximately 41,700 cross ties and removal and disposal of defective ties that are replaced with new ties. Placement of other track materials to include spikes, plates, anchors, washers, and bolts. Surface and dress approximately 562,848 track feet of right of way to ensure track gauge, horizontal and vertical alignment, and curvature will all be adjusted to conform to 2 CFR Part 213 for FRA Class 3 track standard.

Remove timber and asphalt or rubber and asphalt grade crossing surfaces and replace in like kind for 21 grade crossings listed below. No changes to signals, alignment, or sight lines will be undertaken. No crossings currently have humped profiles that require smoothing.
