Grant Description
Award purpose: Award will provide funding to develop an advanced bridge technology clearinghouse.
The clearinghouse shall provide a platform for bridge and structure stakeholders to find technically robust and unbiased information and reports that evaluate innovations while facilitating the acceptance and implementation of new bridge and structure materials and technologies.
USDOT/OST-R is responsible for establishing an advanced bridge technology clearinghouse as set forth in House Appropriations Committee Report #117-99 accompanying the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2022 (P. L. 117-103; March 15, 2022).
The purpose of this cooperative agreement is for Rutgers University to assist USDOT/OST-R in this endeavor.
Beneficiaries: The recipient Rutgers University and its faculty and students, along with the same at participating subrecipient universities that are partners on the grant.
Subrecipient activities: Support of research activities will be conducted under a consortium of universities led by Rutgers University and including Rutgers, Prairie View A&M, Texas A&M Transportation Institute (TTI), Michigan State University and Arizona State University.
