Natural Gas Distribution Infrastructure Safety and Modernization (NGDISM) Grant Program - This grant supports awarded municipality/community-owned utilities to repair, rehabilitate, or replace their natural gas distribution pipeline system, or to acquire equipment to (1) reduce incidents and fatalities and (2) avoid economic losses.

THE NGDISM GRANT PROGRAM WILL PROVIDE FUNDING TO MUNICIPALITIES AND COMMUNITY-OWNED UTILITIES TO REPAIR,
REHABILITATE, OR REPLACE AGING LEAKY NATURAL GAS DISTRIBUTION PIPELINE SYSTEMS. THE FUNDS WILL ALSO SUPPORT
THE ACQUISITION OF LEAK DETECTION EQUIPMENT FOR NATURAL GAS OPERATOR AND TO REPAIR, REPLACE, OR REHABILITATE
1000 MILES OF PIPE AND TO REDUCE METHANE EMISSIONS BY 1,000 METRIC TONS, ANNUALLY.
