Grant Description
The IRRR and an innovative project team with local and national experience believe that providing a multi-modal trip planning option and the deployment of an on-demand microtransit transportation service can help solve transportation challenges to improve the quality of life in the region while supporting the rural communities of Grand Rapids, Cohasset, and La Prairie.
Funding Goals
THE FHWAS VISION FOR THE ATTAIN PROGRAM IS THE DEPLOYMENT OF ADVANCED TECHNOLOGIES AND RELATED STRATEGIES TO ADDRESS ISSUES AND CHALLENGES IN SAFETY MOBILITY SUSTAINABILITY ECONOMIC VITALITY EQUITY AND AIR QUALITY THAT ARE CONFRONTED BY TRANSPORTATION SYSTEMS OWNERS AND OPERATORS. THE ADVANCED TECHNOLOGIES ARE INTEGRATED INTO THE ROUTINE FUNCTIONS OF THE LOCATION OR JURISDICTION AND PLAY A CRITICAL ROLE IN HELPING AGENCIES AND THE PUBLIC ADDRESS THEIR CHALLENGES.
