Grant Description
Award Purpose
The project will fund the purchase of a TIER 4 or TIER 5 forklift for Alaska-bound cargo from the recipients Duwamish River Terminal in Seattle.
Activities to be performed
The procurement of the BUY AMERICA compliant TIER 4 or TIER 5 forklift will upgrade existing equipment and enable the recipient to become more efficient at handling freight using low emission equipment.
The new forklift will be able to lift up to 70,000LBS and will have the capacity to handle all cargoes that move through the Duwamish River Terminal including break bulk heavy lift oil patch bulk commodities and military cargoes.
Deliverables Expected Outcomes Performance Measure Table from Schedule G Page 10 of the Grant Agreement
Freight movements TEUs metric tons or cubic board meter CBM provide the unit of measure and amount of freight moved by the service. Quarterly.
Cargo lifts provide the number of cargo lifts performed in the project study area. Quarterly.
Highway vehicle miles traveled VMT commercial vehicle miles traveled VMT is calculated by obtaining the road miles traveled. Quarterly.
Highway vehicle miles traveled VMT on the designated marine highway route.
Fuel savings greenhouse gas emissions - calculate the amount of fuel in gallons saved. Quarterly.
CO2 emissions reduced greenhouse gas emissions. Provide the amount of CO2 the service will reduce. Quarterly.
Maintenance savings per mile greenhouse gas emissions. Provide the maintenance savings realized by the service. Quarterly.
Congestion mitigation savings per mile. Provide the congestion savings realized by the service. Quarterly.
