Purpose - The Forsyth Library Project will transform the existing three-level, 105,000 square foot library into a learning commons.
Activities to be performed - The renovation of the 1967 building will include new electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems, as well as new interior partitions, finishes, and furnishings. The occupied renovation work will commence in strategically planned phases.
Expected outcomes - The project aims to attract more students to the services offered by the library and provide space for student study and learning, both for individuals and groups.
Intended beneficiaries - The public, staff, and students will benefit from the library renovation. Fort Hays State University is a public academic institution.
