Overview
Grant Description
Purpose: The purpose of this grant is to implement the Ohio Digital Equity Plan developed pursuant to the State Digital Equity Planning Grant Program.
Activities to be performed: The proposed project activities include implementation of the Digital Inclusion Grant Programs which offer eligible entities the opportunity to apply for funds to meet an identified digital inclusion need.
Activities also include development of a statewide device ecosystem to increase access to affordable devices, including assistive technology, development of a tool to provide easy access to programs, services, and other digital inclusion resources, and online digital skills training to incarcerated individuals.
Expected outcomes: The proposed award will use Capacity Grant Program funding to realize its vision for digital equity and to implement activities and strategies identified in the State Digital Equity Plan.
The proposed projects will result in better access to devices and narrowing the digital divide.
Intended beneficiaries: Residents of the State of Ohio and principally unserved and underserved covered populations statewide.
Subrecipient activities: The recipient does plan to subaward funds. The purpose is for implementing the DE Plan activities.
