                Grant Description
              
              
                Purpose: Remove obstructions to support RNAV approach; construct deicing pad and containment facility; reconstruct terminal; reconstruct airfield signage/markings. 
Activities to be performed/expected outcomes: This project constructs a new 356,000 square yard public use deicing pad including containment facility and associated equipment.
This project reconstructs 466 existing airfield signage/existing airfield markings that has reached the end of their useful lives.
This project rehabilitates the existing terminal building vertical circulation, ticketing area, security screening checkpoint queue, and exterior to increase passenger throughput, upgrade aging mechanical/electrical/plumbing/fire suppression systems, increase energy efficiency and improve seismic sustainability.
This project removes trees identified as obstructions by the Federal Aviation Administration to bring the airport into conformity with current standards.
This grant funds Phase 1, which consists of design and replacement of 344 signs that has reached the end of their useful life.
This grant funds Phase 12, which consists of reimbursement for construction of 18,000 square yards of the deicing pad and associated facilities.
The project was completed in November 2022.
