Purpose: Rehabilitate Taxiway
This grant is funded by the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act to increase the federal share to 100 percent for the Airport Improvement Program (AIP).
Activities to be performed/Expected outcomes:
This project awards a State Block Grant Program grant to the State of Pennsylvania to administer Airport Improvement Program sub-awards for nonprimary airports within the state.
This grant includes discretionary funding for Indiana County Airport (IDI), located in the 15th Congressional District in Pennsylvania, to rehabilitate the terminal area taxiway in the amount of $1,210,000.

THIS GRANT PROGRAM PURPOSE IS TO FUND AIRPORT PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT (AIRPORT CONSTRUCTION AND IMPROVEMENT) PROJECTS THAT SUPPORT LONG STANDING FAA GOALS OF SAFETY OR SECURITY, SYSTEM CAPACITY, ENVIRONMENT AND ACCESS. FAA CONSIDERS GRANTS THAT ALIGN WITH ADMINISTRATION GOALS OF SAFETY, ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP, INCLUDING CLIMATE CHANGE AND SUSTAINABILITY, EQUITY, CREATION OF GOOD JOBS AND INFRASTRUCTURE INVESTMENT (PER EXECUTIVE ORDERS INCLUDING EO 13166, 13985, 13988, 14005, 14008, 14025).
