Grant Description
Purpose: Reconstruct Runway Lighting; Construct Taxiway; Reconstruct Runway.
Activities to be performed/expected outcomes: This project constructs a 630 foot taxiway turnaround on the Runway 34 end to eliminate the need for aircraft to back-taxi on the runway. Additionally, this project reconstructs 4,001 feet of the existing Runway 16/34 pavement that has reached the end of its useful life. Furthermore, the existing Runway 16/34 lighting system, which has also reached the end of its useful life and requires reconstruction to meet Federal Aviation Administration standards, will be reconstructed. This grant funds the final phase, which consists of construction.
Intended beneficiary: This grant will provide federal funding for airports associated with Cambridge, Minnesota.
