Grant Description
PURPOSE: RECONSTRUCT TAXIWAY LIGHTING; CONSTRUCT TAXIWAY; IMPLEMENT WILDLIFE MITIGATION MEASURES. ACTIVITIES TO BE PERFORMED/EXPECTED OUTCOMES: THIS PROJECT CONSTRUCTS A NEW 1,760 FOOT LONG BY 50 FOOT WIDE TAXIWAY L TO BRING THE AIRPORT INTO CONFORMITY WITH CURRENT STANDARDS. THIS PROJECT IMPLEMENTS WILDLIFE AND WETLAND MITIGATION UNDER THE AIRPORT'S WILDLIFE HAZARD MITIGATION PLAN TO ENHANCE SAFETY. THIS PROJECT RECONSTRUCTS EXISTING TAXIWAY D LIGHTING THAT HAS REACHED THE END OF ITS USEFUL LIFE. THIS GRANT FUNDS PHASE 2, WHICH CONSISTS OF CONSTRUCTION. INTENDED BENEFICIARY: THIS GRANT WILL PROVIDE FEDERAL FUNDING FOR AIRPORTS ASSOCIATED WITH GRAND RAPIDS, MICHIGAN.
