Grant Description
PURPOSE: CONSTRUCT AIRPORT DRAINAGE/EROSION CONTROL. ACTIVITIES TO BE PERFORMED/EXPECTED OUTCOMES: THIS PROJECT CONSTRUCTS NEW APRON DRAINAGE SYSTEM TO ELIMINATE POOLING OF STAGNANT WATER ON THE PAVEMENT TO BRING THE AIRPORT INTO CONFORMITY WITH CURRENT STANDARDS. THIS GRANT FUNDS A PORTION OF THE TOTAL PROJECT. THIS GRANT IS ASSOCIATED WITH AN AIRPORT IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM GRANT AND AN AIRPORT SAFETY AND RESILIENT INFRASTRUCTURE DISCRETIONARY PROGRAM GRANT THAT FUND THE REMAINING ELIGIBLE PORTIONS OF THE WORK. INTENDED BENEFICIARY: THIS GRANT WILL PROVIDE FEDERAL FUNDING FOR AIRPORTS ASSOCIATED WITH GROTON, CONNECTICUT.
