Purpose: Expand terminal.
Activities to be performed/expected outcomes: This project expands the existing terminal by 21,500 square feet.
This grant funds a new baggage area, passenger hold room, passenger lounge, gate, ramp, new mechanical room, and exterior pedestrian canopy.
This expansion will facilitate the movement of passengers and baggage to bring the airport into conformity with current standards.
This grant funds a portion of Phase 2, which consists of design and final construction.
This grant is associated with a Bipartisan Infrastructure Law Airport Terminal Program grant that funds the remaining eligible portion of the project.
Intended beneficiary: This grant will provide federal funding for airports associated with Sitka, Alaska.
