Overview

Grant Description
Purpose: To provide additional funding, announced under UIPL No. 17-24 Section 4.B., for continued administrative costs, including ongoing systems, operational, and audit related costs associated with the Pandemic Emergency Unemployment Compensation (PEUC) program as authorized by the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act (Public Law 116-136) as amended.

Activities to be performed: The PEUC UI grant under UIPL No. 17-24 Section 4.B. provides states with additional funding to support the continuing administrative costs of the PEUC program.

This includes but is not limited to ongoing PEUC program integrity efforts, data integrity and retention, and state efforts to respond and resolve issues from PEUC program audit activities.

Expected outcomes: States continue to address the ongoing administrative actions associated with the program pursuant to the agreement signed with the Secretary of Labor in March 2020 to operate the PEUC program.

Intended beneficiaries: State workforce agencies.
