Purpose of project: To support veterans that are at risk of homelessness in obtaining successful career training and employment in manufacturing and related careers in South Jersey.
Activities funded by grant: Individualized assessment, career planning, case management, job readiness coaching, and placement and retention support.
Intended beneficiaries of the project: Veterans experiencing homelessness in Camden County, New Jersey.
Outcomes of the project: To enroll and serve 165 individuals, with successful placement into employment for at least 99 individuals.
Key partnerships: Southern New Jersey Continuum of Care, Manufacturing Alliance of South Jersey, Habitat for Humanity, County Offices of Veterans Affairs, NJ Department of Military and Veterans Affairs, Camden Housing Authority.

FUNDING OPPORTUNITY GOALS PROVIDE CAREER EXPLORATION, TRAINING, AND SUPPORTIVE SERVICES TO VETERANS EXPERIENCING AND AT RISK OF HOMELESSNESS, EMPOWERING THEM TO SECURE GOOD JOBS IN STABLE, HIGH DEMAND OCCUPATIONS EARNING LIVABLE WAGES. ESTABLISH STRONG PARTNERSHIPS BETWEEN PUBLIC, PRIVATE, AND NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS, ESPECIALLY THOSE THAT INCLUDE PEOPLE WHO HAVE EXPERIENCED HOMELESSNESS. REMOVE BARRIERS TO THE FULL AND EQUAL PARTICIPATION OF MARGINALIZED COMMUNITIES AND THROUGH PARTNERSHIPS WITH A RANGE OF ORGANIZATIONS THAT SUPPORT THE ABILITY TO REACH OUT TO AND DELIVER EQUITABLE SERVICES TO MARGINALIZED VETERANS EXPERIENCING OR AT RISK OF HOMELESSNESS.
